Terms of service

Last updated: 9 July 2026

What Hazel is

Hazel (heyhazel.io) is an automated messaging assistant for salons and similar appointment-based businesses. It answers the calls and messages you cannot get to, helps your customers book appointments into your calendar, and sends appointment reminders. These terms apply between us and the business using Hazel. Questions any time: hello@heyhazel.io.

Your side

You confirm you are authorised to connect your business phone number and messaging channels to Hazel, that the business information you give us (services, prices, opening hours) is accurate, and that you will use the service lawfully, including messaging rules that apply to your business. Your customers remain your customers; Hazel works on your behalf.

Our side

We run Hazel with care, keep you able to see your conversations, alert you when a human should take over, and let you pause or disconnect the service at any time. Hazel is an assistant, not a guarantee: it can occasionally misunderstand a message, and the service depends on third-party platforms (such as WhatsApp and phone networks) that we do not control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Fees

During our early access period the service may be provided free of charge. When paid plans apply to you, we will tell you the price in advance, billing will be monthly unless agreed otherwise, and you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the paid period. We do not lock you into long contracts.

Data

How we handle personal data, including your customers' messages and how to request deletion, is described in our privacy policy. If you stop using Hazel, your number and your WhatsApp stay yours: disconnecting returns things to how they were before.

Ending the service

You can stop using Hazel whenever you like by telling us or disconnecting the service. We can suspend or end the service for unlawful use, non-payment, or if a platform we depend on requires it, and we will tell you why. After the service ends we delete your customers' conversation data as described in the privacy policy.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost bookings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

The legal frame

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If we update these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you and update the date above.
